35 Weeks 0 Day

Appointment with Dr. C today.
Dad went with me and helped to fill her in on what's been happening at L&D.
She said they legally can not, NOT treat me.
She said there is no note in the system that says I can't be treated.
Very odd.
We are going to try and decrease my meds and if I end up having major episodes,
then we'll continue to rush to UCD and if they say they can't treat me, I'll ask to see it.
Overall the appointment went well.
Good chance that I'll be induced July 27th. =D

Even though the pain today has been constant at a 7/8, I've not had a really bad episode.

Tomorrow morning I'm headed to the Vaca Surgery Center to have a steroid injection into my spine to see if it will give me relief.

Praying, praying, praying for relief!!

  1. Yes, praying, praying, praying! I hope the injection helps! Wow, July 27th is coming up soon! How far along were you when Blake was born? When did you begin having symptoms of eclampsia; or is that something that comes on suddenly and severely? I need to brush up on that. Praying that won't be an issue this time!!! Hang on, you're almost there...Yay!

    1. It is coming up soon! I can't wait til then!! When Blake was born I was 36 weeks and 6 days along. My Pre E symptoms started around 32 weeks. I'd already been suffering with indescribable, painful headaches and extremely high blood pressures (180/110 or higher) for weeks while the doctor told me I just had anxiety and needed to stop worrying. By the 32 weeks or so I'd gained 20lbs in the span of 1 week's time (yet again ignored). I delivered Blake and was discharged. 3 mornings later Mom tried to wake me and I couldn't hardly concentrate or focus on anything. I only wanted to sleep. I was majorly exhausted and couldn't stay awake for anything. I could barely breathe and my blood pressure was sky high. Mom called EMT's and was taken to the hospital. There I was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure. Later that day I was transferred to UCD Medical ICU. The next day I was visited by one of the tops of Labor & Delivery floor diagnosing me, not with CHF, but with Pre E. 3 days later after being on the L&D floor and being treated for Pre E, I'd peed out almost 25 lbs of water weight, my bp's were back in range, headaches and vision changes were back to normal and gone, and I was on my way to being discharged and normalcy. For me, it came on more slowly at first and then suddenly after delivery with the symptoms previously being fully ignored. For lots of women it comes on suddenly with almost no symptoms and after Baby is born. It can develop up to as far as 6 months post partum too. I'm already on the look out for symptoms but will continue to check for protein and strange weigh gain post partum. . . Never hurts to be very cautious. I try to warn women I know about Pre E, but they don't understand the severity of how quickly Pre E can kill you if it's not detected or if it's ignored.

    2. I was induced with Blake because a 24 hour urine showed a spike in the protein content from a very low normal number to extreme values overnight.. . . .

    1. Awaiting a message from my doctor who should (hopefully and most likely) schedule my induction for the 27th of July. I'll be announcing the date when we have it set in stone!! And, I'm sure you'll get a text from my Moma when things start happening, but we will be trying to keep things fairly quiet! Knowing me though, I'll be posting when I'm in the hospital and when things start happening. Only a small group of you follow my blog faithfully and I'll want you few in my loop! <3
